Edward Heron BSc MRAC MRICS

Chartered Planning & Development Surveyor

Following his graduation from the Royal Agricultural College (now University) in 1997 with a degree in Rural Estate Management, Edward joined the Land & Planning Department at Goadsby & Harding in Bournemouth where he gained experience in development land acquisitions and sales, while at the same time continuing his studies, reading Law with the Open University.

Having continued to develop his skills within the UK development sector, Edward left his then position of Land Manager at Keystone Homes in 2000 and joined M A Ventures WLL, a property development and investment corporation based in the Kingdom of Bahrain and a leading provider of off-base housing to US Forces within the Middle East, as Assistant to the Executive Chairman.

Returning full-time to the UK in 2006, having gained international development experience working across North Africa and the Middle East, Edward established his own firm providing planning and development consultancy services, qualifying in 2013 as a Chartered Planning & Development Surveyor. Edward Heron MRICS Limited was incorporated in 2018.

Edward has a wealth of experience advising on complex planning and development matters and extensive industry and governmental contacts.

In addition to his work as a Chartered Surveyor, Edward has held a number of senior positions in Local Government including Leader of New Forest District Council, Deputy Chairman of the New Forest National Park Authority and Executive Member roles at Hampshire County Council. Edward was a founding Board Member of the Solent Freeport Consortium and Director of the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership.

David Oxley

David joined the firm in 2024 and is currently pursuing his BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment, along with Associate Membership of the RICS. Prior to this, David resided in Hong Kong until 2012, working in the arts and entertainment sector. Upon relocating to London, he held managerial roles within the hospitality industry. In response to the Covid pandemic, David transitioned to a new career in the property profession.

Joining the firm in 2024, Mabel takes the lead in ensuring all the team keep healthy through a programme of lengthy outdoor walks and by consuming any lunches that are left unattended.
